sooooooooooo, it wasn't sony that got me started onto video games, most people will hold their hands up and say it was a small plumber that got them started me well it was one of those 1970's thingy bobs ( love that word ) bleeps with two white bars knocking a ball to each other? erm ............ somehow we had one don't know where who what when etc but we had one. so when the time came for my first console it was an Atari 2600, badass and very sick ( down with da kids ) see image.
Pacman and the Centipede game kept me going for hours, those were the days until it broke, : (

from there im sure we had some type of pc? all my mates had spectrums or was it an acorn computer? me i had a commadore 64, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, just me everyone had a speccy!!! damn. loved games like jetset willy, class.
so then came along the fat plumber with the nes and the snes, then that blue hedgehog came along and through a spanner in the works or was it alex the kid.....lol. ( mastersystem / mega drive )
having every console in 80's / 90's including gameboys orig / colour etc etc and gamegear you might think that im bored of games by now, no its only just started from here, amiga forgot to mention that one, floppy games, erm nice.
dreamcast = no coment. gamecube = happy again.
original xbox, ive never been so let down in my life before i wanted one so badly, i got one for halo and some other random crap exclusive game jesus after 6 weeks i traded it in n got loads of ps2 games. halo, awful i couldn't get on with it, lots of fuss from pc loving geeks. and the xbox pad my god it was massive was this designed for andre the giant or the bigshow??? it needed to be simple like the psx, ps1, 2 and 3 = winner.
Xbox 360, tempted yes on scale of 1 to 10, im at a 4 right now, one day i might go for one? oh yeah thats if the ps3 fails or hell freezes over. lol.
to be honest the 360 dosn't offer me anything, wow cheap prices in peak season £159 or £199, tempting till you need to buy a hard drive then a wireless adapter plus your £40 a year gaming online did i mention that theres no blu ray just doovde, do the maths and its more dollars, pounds yen euro's what ever, it costs more. dont do it. but you can get sky tv on it, bollocks you have to pay for that too did i mention bbc iplayer was free on the ps3 n the gaming online is FREE, yeah but it crashes all the time, bollocks, its 2010 now that dont happen anymore. no points required. nice.
anyways this is me signing off tonight as my eyes hurt, i promise more soon with some reviews thanks for reading my cherry-blog.
